With Gratitude

This article by CEO Barbara Thomas was published in the November issue of Kendal Northern Ohio’s staff newsletter, Ripples in the Pond. It’s a good story to share as Thanksgiving approaches, reflecting on a family’s thoughts of Kendal after their mother’s passing.

Lifelong Learning – Auditing a Class at Oberlin College

Retirement living in Oberlin is especially wonderful because of the many opportunities available at Oberlin College and the Conservatory of Music. Any Oberlin city resident over the age of 65 can audit classes at the college, with the professor’s permission. Kendal residents enjoy this opportunity often. Kendal’s Publicity Plugs – stories about Oberlin Schools

Kendal at Oberlin residents have forged a unique volunteer partnership with Oberlin City Schools. Kendal residents are assigned to each of the schools – one writer and one photographer at each location. They write positive stories about the school and student activities, submitting them, along with photographs, to the local newspapers. This positive press offers good public relations for our local schools and helps our greater community.
